COVID-19 Capabilities

Magnetic Inspection Laboratory (MIL) is remaining fully operational as an essential business per Homeland Security and the Department of Defense.

We are working closely with companies to process essential equipment and get it into the hands of our front-line heroes during this pandemic.

MIL is prioritizing its work as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Status: Essential Business, currently operational

Location: 1401 Greenleaf Ave. Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 (20 miles NW of Chicago, adjacent to O’hare airport)

Current programs/parts supported:
Medical Equipment: Respirators, Ventilators, Oxygen Delivery Systems, Medical Diagnostic Systems (Covid testing), Surgical Instruments
Defense Equipment: Fighter jets (F-35, F-18, F-16), Military cargo carrier (C-130), missile systems (THAAD, Hellfire, PAC-3), Avionics
Space Systems: NASA, SpaceX

Relevant capabilities: Anodize, Passivation, Electropolish, Metal Cleaning and Non-Destructive Testing, please click here for all services.

Priority classification codes honored: DPA, DoD, DPAS (DX, DO), DHS

Priority: Classifications noted above or similar are assigned highest priority and expedited ahead of commercial orders

Capacity: Multiple shift capacity, operating below current demand.

Logistics: In-house fleet of vans and truck to support regional transportation in Chicagoland and bordering areas. Long-transit product shipped to/from MIL is mainly coordinated through 3rd parties.

Approvals: MIL-STD, ASTM, AMS, Complete List of Approvals.

Mfg tier: Tier Two or higher.

Internal Covid-19 Precautions: Those as deemed necessary per CDC.
